My system has the 6.3.96000.17238 and apparently the latest one is 10.0.13
I have downloaded it but it keeps on failing to install. Any suggestions? My system specifications are in the signature.

Here is the log file

The only drivers one needs to update really is when you have the newest piece of hardware that just came out, or your graphics drivers, and only then if you're a gamer or a heavy 3d graphics user such a 3D CAD. It could be that 10.0.13 is for a newer chipset and not yours. Please read this article at How-To-Geek.

Yes yes, i know some drivers don't need to be updated but i figured from 6.0 to 10 is a big leap and worthy of consideration

Isn't the management engine interface the thing that switches from GPU to CPU GPU?

Yes, and part of overall chipset drivers. May be why you can'r get generic Intel drivers to take. Asus may modify how they work on your board.
Hmm, but i have the iGpu disabled in Bios, wouldn't that be conflicting with the driver?

Yea, when BIOS settings are changed from the default kind of hard to say the impact on installing non-OEM drivers. No single right answer I believe.

If your system is working fine I recommend not updating. With chipset (or many other driver) updates the number(in your case 6.xxx and 10.xxx) differences seem large but the changes are minimal and won't make your computer faster, they're only for those rare instances for small incompatibitily issues. On the other hand, the oem drivers were thoroughly tested and tuned for that motherboard.
