I have dell inspiron 15r 5537 and is running on windows 8. This morning I updated windows and my optical mouse stopped working after that. The touchpad is still working.The device manager>HID complaint mouse has status
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

{Unable to Load Device Driver}
%hs device driver could not be loaded.
Error Status was 0x%x"

Can anyone please help me solving this??

additional info:
1)Disabling/Enabling driver.
2)The optical mouse works on other laptop but not on mine.
3)Other optical mice are also not working on my laptop.
4)I tried updating the driver but it says"drivers are up-to-date.
I have Dell as well as Lenovo mice. The Lenovo mouse installs drivers when i connect it to my laptop.
5)I get the "usual" usb connected and usb disconnected beeps when i connect/disconnect the mice.

Check out it is enabled in device manager and your computer has the updated USB mouse drivers. if it does, try rolling back the driver, in case it updated to a crappy driver automatically
