I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro running full version of Windows 8.1. The Windows App Store is missing, when I try to click on "Change PC settings" nothing happens. I'm coming to the conclusion the system is corrupted, but I can't recover it and I can't find anywhere that tells me how to reinstall the operating system. Can anyone help? I can do the installation of I could fine the software for it somewhere. It's not that old, I shouldn't have to buy a new copy.

You could try using the Backup and Recovery app. If it's not listed on the apps page along with the other Dell apps then open the My Dell app and tap the backup item (you might need to hold the tablet in landscape position to see it). It will tell you if backup and recovery is installed. If it isn't you can download and install it from there. Be patient - it takes a bit of time.
Once you have the app you should have the tools you need to recover.
(Notice I haven't gone to settings or the app store at all)

Late response to your query is because I only just noticed the thread and joined the forum to respond - I happened to be sorting out a backup for my own tablet at the time.

If you hadn't already found a solution hope this helps.
