Just posted this over at 7 but thought I'd post it here as well.
I got the new update for my phone late Thursday. Still finding my way around it as there are a few glitches I'm sorting out.
I was pleasantly surprised that I was still allowed to upgrade even though my phone is the entry level. It's a Nokia Lumia 520 which I've had for about a year now and came with Windows 8.
I had gone through other updates for it, Amber then Black, but this one is the biggest for it. Not sure if everything that's involved with the update will be included via my provider, we shall see after I've played around with it a bit more.
If you like, you could also install the "Preview for Developers" app to be able to get pre-release OS updates on your phone. So far they have all been stable for me.
Thanks Shawn I'll have a look at that, although not sure if it will go on my phone. What is allowed in the States is often not allowed over this side the pond plus there is what my network provider would allow as I'm on a contract. I'm with Vodafone.
OK just had a look at the link and will pass, don't think it would be allowed via my provider plus it would void my warranty at this time. Thanks anyway Shawn.
