1TB HDD won't open partitions, show as RAW

[please get to the 2nd paragraph to see the problem, 1st is just history on what led to it]
Hello, 1 year ago I had a desktop PC with two HDD in it, one is 500GB,the other is 1TB. I bought the PC with only the 500GB HDD in it, but after buying the 1TB HDD, I always installed OSes in it. For many time I didn't get any problem, until I accidently swapped the plugs for the HDDs after I cleaned the cabinet. My Windows 7 wouldn't boot even though I had did "nothing". I realised my problem and just swapped it again and the problem was gone. After reading about it, I learned that it was caused because of the MBR, which was on the 500GB HDD. No problem till MY PC died and my family ran into money problem which prevented me from buying a new PC so I started using a netbook for everyday PC use. I had to trow out all my PC hardware, except for my two HDD which I kept safe in my wardrobe.

The thing is, I have all my precious music, games and stuff on those HDD, so, since I don't have the money to build a new PC, I instead bought a IDE/SATA to USB converter, which worked fine on the 500GB HDD. Problem is when I plug the 1TB HDD, which won't allow me to open the partitions (even though they show perfectly both on My Computer and on Computer Management). On Computer Management, they all show as RAW partitions, I don't know what to do. I know some programs will only recover files from they extensions, but I would like to have all my files untouched, the way they were, so I could back up important files on my netbook, and let the HDD alone waiting for the day that I can finally buy a new PC, haha.

Oh, as of now, I am running a EaseUS Recovery Wizard scan on my other (actually my mom's, Windows Vista) notebook. That's why I'm not posting any screenshots, but as soon it finishes, if I can't recover my files, I will post ss

Perhaps the IDE/SATA to USB Adapter is incompatitible with large capacity HD. When buying an Adapter, you should look at how large the capacity it can support.

Or if the Adapter supports the large capacity HD and you still have problem then it's the HD problem which you need to fix:

Anyway to test it? It's a China no-brand, no-manual, no-anything adapter. Bought for almost nothing.
Exactly like this:

USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE Cable with Power Adapter - Free Shipping - DealExtreme
Even there is mixed, if you look into the questions about it, one is answered as being able to handle 1tb HDDs (Hard disk space limit ? DealExtreme Forum), and other says its limit is 300GB (HOW LARGE HDD (GB)? ? DealExtreme Forum) (which I know is wrong, since my 500GB HDD works well with it)

Again, is there a way to test if it can handle 1tb HDDs?
Even if it have some imit, shouldn't it at least give acces to some of the partitions? (The HDD has 6 partitions)

Thanks for the quick reply topgundcp

Sorry I don't know since I don't own this and I saw the post in the forum, it says it can support 1TB. Another question I have for you is how did you get the HD to have 6 partitions ? did you initialize it as GPT disk ? For MBR disk you can only have 4 partitions max.
Maybe If you have a friend that owns a PC, you can try in his/her PC to know for sure if it can see the HD.

No, it's either all or none.

If in fact the adapter is good then that will leave the problem to the HD. Use the link I provided above and try to fix it.

Probably easier to use partition wizard free home version. Does the same kind of thing, much easier to use.

Run partition recovery. select the drive, select quick scan, when it has finished, tick ALL partitions you want to keep, Apply.

you tube

Well I think I messed up. I went to you tube sites watching some of those tutorial videos well one of them said to delete all temp and prefetch files. So I did. Reading messages from other sites, delete temp but let prefetch alone. Will prefetch eventually build back up?
The way I understand prefetch is so computer can easily get them files on boot up, and leave prefetch alone. Thanks Chuck

just checked, they are 5 partitions, 3 primary partitions, the other 2 are logical partitions. Right now I can't leave it to another PC, my friends on college are all from other cities, so they don't have desktop PCs here. But will see to that too.

Yes, will see that if EaseUS Recovery Wizard can't do anything.
