AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi rejected

Using Toshiba C55A Laptop with N2820 64 bits 2.13Ghz 4GB ram.

Have followed all the trick suggested by Apple, updates, suggestions , installed and reinstalled ITunes some 20 times,
but part of the ITunes AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi does not want to download properly .

Any suggestions please !! I do not want to download any third party software, full of spyware ! No one gives anything away for nothing !!

Windows Installer Issue !!

Trying to install AMDS, on my Toshiba C55A Laptop – Intel Celeron N2820 2.13 Ghz 64 bit, fully updated genuine Windows 8.1
It does not install and rolls back AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi
Message saying:
The Apple Mobile Device Support won’t be installed on your computer
The installer encountered errors before Apple Mobile Device Support could be configured
Your system has not been modified
To retry the operation at a later time, run installer again.

Just in the most general terms, , , are you absolutely sure that your device and it's drivers are compatible with the version of Windows 8.1 that you're using?

It sure sounds to me like a 'Compatibility' issue.

I personally found that I had all sorts of issues with the 64 bit version of Windows 8.1, whereas everything worked just fine with the 32 bit version.

As an example, I found that the 64 bit version of 8.1 DOES NOT have 16 bit compatibility.
