usb modem update problem

am using windows it and i use a usb 3g modem of lava to connect to the internet but it doesn't work in windows8 th software of the modem gets installed but then the modem window show no device connected

fellas i have been testing a lot of usb modem on win 8 but till now only huawei modem worked in it

Blame the companies and their drivers. In fact, it's only a matter of time until the Huawei bsods. I've seen it plenty of times and they don't have updated drivers.

I advise to get a proper ISP subscription that gives you an external modem that you can attach your own router to. Then connect your lan ports of your pcs to your router.
