My old laptop crashed (completely gone) and i need to get files off (same ole story i know).... my question is this....will Sabrent USB stat/IDE hard drive converter do the job -- the plug doesnt look like it would fit my laptop hard drive. i have 2 drives in there that i need all my files off of.

if this wont work, could you please direct me in the general direction of something that would work.... i unfortunately i do not have a 2nd bay to install the HD and my old laptop the vid card is fried.

I found a solution --- The SABRENT USB 3.0 TO SATA/IDE 2.5/3.5/5.25-INCH Hard Drive Converter should do the trick
