SURFACE pro 3 - Secure boot CAN be disabled

    Hi there.

Great news for those wanting to run other OS'es on the new Surface 3 Pro - or simply access the firmware.

This also means that when you disable protected boot you can also install Linux or other OS'es on the device. My main use would be to install Windows Enterprise rather than the installed OS. I also have a Windows to Go system which is handy for running other Language versions of Ms Office / Windows itself etc etc.

I've already ordered one -- should have it in about 6 weeks - can't wait. My biggest worry was that I'd be stuck with protected boot -- but like the PRO 2 it CAN be disabled. Now whether I can find a Linux driver for the pen might be a challenge though !!!
