How to disactivate wakie-up from my Bluetooth mouse

I have a Tablet Windows 8.1 with a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse sculpt comfort. It is very annoying that the tablet wakes up just because of the mouse,.

Bluetooth seems to change everything. I can't see any power management option anywhere in the settings/device manager.

Is there a way to do it at least via the registry?

You may be able to use one of the options in the tutorial below prevent that device from being able to wake the computer.

Thank you, that was promising. But the powercfg is not even recognized on my Dell Venue Pro W8.1 (in either cmd or powershell).

In that case, go ahead and post a screenshot showing the command prompt to see what the issue may be.

Getting closer but no cigar.

I did install the correct Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse Bluetooth driver. Yet it doesn't show the power management tab.

I found the powercfg in the windows32 directory.
powercfg /devicedisablewake "Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse (Mouse and Keyboard Center)"


I can run (in a CMD windows run as Administrator) it but it tells me that I don't have the authorization to do it.
"You do not have permission to enable or disable device wake"

Any way to do it directly in the registry?

What's the full list of devices that are able to wake your computer?

In addition, double check your BIOS/UEFI power management settings to make sure that USB is not allowed to wake up the computer.
