PC not booting at all. Bad RAM?

I just bought a 16GB kit (8GB x 2). I put both sticks of RAM into my PC and it does not boot, nothing is shown on the monitor, no beeping noise, no error message. I used another PC and got the same thing. After trying out the RAM one stick at a time, I found one of the stick is causing the boot issues. If I used that stick of RAM on any of my 2 PC, it won't boot at all.

Is this RAM not compatible with my PC or is the RAM defective?

Hello there,you are saying that you bought them modules as a kit,should be identical,as in frequency,timings etc.If one of the modules works,the other one should as well,It sounds like a bad stick,what kind of RAM is it?And please fill in your system specs,it will really help for future references.

if you bought a kit of 2 , which usually means matched pairs , one works and the 2nd causes issues I would RMA them and get replacements as it sounds like the 2nd stick is faulty.
