Greetings to all,

I have yet again some driver missing. This time it is the 'SM Bus Controller' driver missing.
I have tried to use the sfc /scannow but no dice. Its telling me that all is good.
I have tried to disable and uninstall completely then reboot my rig but still no dice.
I strolled the internet for a solution but there is nothing definite.
I did look at ASUS web site for drivers for my rig (G750JH) but there is nothing.
The symptom is no USB 3 enable: ie, I have a USB 3 thumb drive that is not recognized. That same key works well under OS X etc...
I think the beginning of it was just after some update.

Any help is of course much appreciated as I am stumped like a tree. Why is Windows missing drivers ? Most of all, how can I fix the issue ?

Rig: ASUS G750JH
OS: Win 8.1 64 bit

pbcopter: Thank you for your help and actually fixing my issue. I did have a look at Asus web site for drivers before posting but since I have windows 8.1, it never entered my mind to have a look at drivers under Windows 8 :) I think this is the most useless post I have ever made: I am still as blond as they come :) Again, thank you Sir.

Not useless. It's not obvious to look at the Windows 8.0 drivers when you have Windows 8.1. Don't be too hard on yourself.
I'm glad it worked out.
