cpu speed or speeds ,like are you wanting to see what speed the cpu is running at a specific time or just the rated/actual speed of the cpu in a computer ,if the later then cpu-z would be good or speccy from the makers of Ccleaner .

OK, thanks............ now I know how to ck my CPU speed..... What can I run or do to see what my max CPU speed really is ?????

example ,my cpu is a duel core intel 2.1ghz ,that is the max it will run,the taskmanager will show the cpu's ups and downs ,and the cpu-z program already mentioned in this thread,happy computing

dont know why you would want to do that or even care ,but if you have any cpu intense software just run it to its max and see if it crashes ,lol

caperjack............... sometimes are you not courious to see if ya got what you paid for ??? or if your system is doing what it is supposed to???? I thot a lot of people think cpu speed is important??? sure does cost a lot more for what they claim is a faster cpu ???

no, I do not wish to overclock it....... my specs for I5 4200u 1.60 has turbo of 2.29 I can only get it to run 1.58 which is ok, but cant get it to go any higher, I am even runningWprime 290 and still no increase in speed
Spectrw 13t-3000 laptop.

I under stant now what you mean now, nope curious at all got a new system last christmas ,built it ,turned it on ,installed windows 8 ,and said WOW,and that was it ,it still wowes me with it speed ,just doing basic functions
