Plug them both in, if formatted each one will get it's own letter and will behave as normal disks.

I am just wondering Count, do you think there is a possibility Emma may be referring to Network Data cards? I understand a "USB Data Card" to be a wireless prepaid or post paid network allowance.
There are some USB Data cards (network) that I have seen issues with online, generally related to them being Windows 7 compatible and getting them to work with Windows 8. As they are Win 8 compatible I thought she may be having trouble getting 2 networks available on the one PC?

Yeah, pretty vague description from OP. I have a lot of USB devices, some contain data (pen drives, IPTV and internet radio, 3G modem with addition of a micro SD memory card) and a beer fridge and coffee cup heater which are not exactly "data" cards but all of them can be used at the same time, either thru built in ports or a splitter. Power requirements are only limit.

OK.... I have two Huawei E3121. Can I simply connect them to a Win 8 laptop and get better speed. I am not risking trying to do so without confirmation. The interfacing software in inbuilt the USB data card dongles.

hi Emma. I'm no network genius but as with anything really, Windows 8 is going to identify two new internet connections, at the end of the day you are going to have to tell it which data card at the time you want to use. I'm not sure how much you know so I am going to tell you that using two at once wont better your performance more than having one will. At least not by any way I know of.

Probably a question better suited in the Network forum here.

There is a way but just too impractical for use with 3G modems.
