Greeetings Members,

I have a HP Touchsmart 4 4-1202ea and it has a 500HDD but it is quite
inefficient due to excess noise while using it.
Is it possible to upgrade to SSD on this System.
Any informed reply will be much appreciated :D

Please could you recommend an SSD for the
system above( HP Touchsmart 4 4-1202ea )
Basically, can i buy any SSD about 128-256 from
any manufacturer or do i need to look out for certain
brand and specification?

The size would depend on how much you plan on installing. If not much, then 128 GB should be fine.

Intel is a good brand for and SSD, but I'd check to see what's on sale and read the reviews on them to see if people have been having problems with them.

Here's a good read about SSD drives.

I've heard glowing reports about Samsung 840 EVO series of SSD's, although I'm still an HDD dinosaur. They come out well in tests and have a 3 year warranty.

Using non-RAID on purpose as I find it too fussy and temperamental.
