Install latest bios for the motherboard from

Install latest EasyTune 6, which is from this year, for your board. (In Utility section of downloads.)

Install latest drivers for both mouse and keyboard from manufacturers' sites.

Your motherboard has both USB 1.1 and 2.0 ports. Use 2.0 only if possible and do not use any hubs, if possible.

Install this for the AMD chipset drivers and storage drivers. Both are at: AMD Chipset Drivers <<< (assuming you have 64 bit Windows)

Beats the heck outta me. I dunno. It has drivers involving power, possibly clock speeds. Newest always best.

    You're welcome.

Did you install latest drivers for both the keyboard and mouse, from the manufacturers' sites?

And you've installed the AMD download?
