Auto rotate option disappears

I have an Asus Transformer Book t100 and I have a problem with auto rotation. It stopped working and the buttons that switch it on/off (in the settings menu, the resolution menu) disappeared. I tried reinstalling the system and it helped but then the problem came back after about 30 minutes. Help? I dont feel like reinstalling it whenever the problem appears.

You're supposed to tap on that box and release and then a small box/logo appears above the slider.

My problem is the small box/logo doesn't appear.

Why does Microsoft keep dicking around with this feature?
