Metro Style OnScreenKeyboard size and Monitor selection

As a Multi-Monitor user I'm currently plagues with 3 Problems concerning the Metro Style OnScreenKeyboard.

1. For most of the time it appears on the wrong Monitor - Not the one with touch capability thus forcing me to manually move it over to the right screen which, at best, is annoying.
It appears it's kind of bound to where the Start Screen currently resides but it would be a lot more useful if it could be tied to one screen.

2. On 2 of my Screens it takes up about ½ the screen space limiting their usefulness while on my other 2 about ¼ which is more desireable - what triggers this behavior and how can I control it?

3. Is there an option to force the OSK to keep the last setting of which Keyboard I've used? It keeps reverting to the simple one when I'd like to use the Advanced one.

Thanks in advance! :)

1. I'm not sure if Windows 8 has the feature of locking a program to a certain monitor upon startup, but this can be done with a third-party program such as DisplayFusion or Actual Multiple Monitors.

2. Check to see if the window size on the 2 of your monitors in which OSK takes up 1/2 of your screen is 100% Default and not 150% Larger. This can be checked but going into your control panel and selecting the Display icon. If your CP is set to category view, click Appearance and Personalization>Display.

3. I have very limited use of OSK and not sure if keeping the Advanced on active is possible, although someone else may be able to help you on that issue.

I hope I have helped you :).

If you wish to use DisplayFusion or Actual Multiple Monitors here are the links:

Hmm... Display Fusion, which I already own, couldn't handle the automatic positioning of the TabTip.exe while other Programs worked just fine so I wrote the DF Support Team an email to see if they might know a solution.

All my Screens are set to 100%, actually I didn't even see a way to separate them from each other °_°

Might have to ask MS themselves about that OSK Advanced/Regular View thingie.

Thanks anyway :)

I'm pretty sure Windows will always assume that a touchscreen display will always be running the Metro apps (because most people have one monitor or one tablet). If you move the Metro apps to another monitor, the touch keyboard will also move with the app. So if the Metro app is running on a non-touchscreen, the touch keyboard will also run on the non-touchscreen.

This would be a cool feature. I'd suggest you post it in the features suggestion board (I forgot the link, will have to look for it) and let people vote on it.

Mhh... If you happen to find the Suggestion Link I'd be happy to provide my thoughts on this matter.

Might be lucky with 8.1 already addressing this problem! So far I've only Installed it on 2 of my 3 PC's ( not the one with the Multi Monitor Setup ) which already fixed some HUGE annoyances I experienced like not being able to effectively use the Photos App when browsing Folders outside of C:\Users\Account\Pictures.

Will probably know more by the end of the week once I've upgraded my Main PC and after it's hardware upgrade.
