Solved mouse driver causing lag

Hi there,

I had this terrible mouse lag problem and found out that it is caused by the newest driver. I rolled it back and the problem was gone. However, Windows started updating it and I disbled automatic update in device installation settings (no, let me choose -> never install driver software from windows update). Still, the drivers gets updated automatically every day, if a rollback is performed.

How do I stop these constant updates of the driver? Or better yet, is there any other way to solve the mouse lag? At the moment I have to choose between a horrible mouse lag, and rollback and restart on a daily basis, which is pretty annoying.

The device is "Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad" and the computer - HP Probook 4330s.

Thanks in advance!
Radi

You can change the settings as shown in the screen shot and when you see the update for the mouse on the list, just right click on it and select Hide Update
