Solved HDD to SDD

HDD to SDD?

Umm.. Just wondering if I could make a Good use of my 80GB HDD.
This HDD is from a 5year old desktop computer. So... is it possible to connect to my laptop and use it like an SDD. If so then how? This is important to me. Or I am gonna sell it cheap(old). But 80GB is huge for me...please give me some idea.


Edit: It got windows xp 32bit installed and almost 36GB+ space acquired by some music files.

Sure, you cat make use of it but you will need an external enclosure of sorts. Also, I assume it is SATA (not IDE). If so, this is the one I use:

Works with USB 2.0 and 3.0 (if SATA III HD) plus you can run E-SATA if your laptop has that port too! Easy in and out. No heat issue either!

Awww! this is the only option? looks expensive to me , btw thanks for breaking my doubt

There are other cheaper ones available but they never worked (lasted) for me.
