Hopper with Sling Box and Windows 8.1

HELP! No audio or video from Hopper Sling Box to Dell XPS 8.1 Works on my Windows 7. I can change the channel, create a recording event but I cannot view or hear. Registers srong bitrate but no picture/sound. Dish cannot resolve. Thought the 64 bit was the problem but they say that has been resolved. HELP!

verify whether there is an driver update for slingbox for windows 8. if not, uninstall the executables of sling box hardware, then install them in windows 7 compatibility mode .

Thank you for your help. In this case I am on a web address (dishanywhere.com) and so no application on my laptop to deal with. I dont knpow how to follow the steps you provide in this case. OI researched last night and found windows 8 in desktop mode waas a solution. I ound how to do that but it did not fix the problem. Dish says 18 other incidents but could not tell me if they were all W8 related. Still stuck on this problem and I hope Dish engineers fix it. Any other ideas or can I do something to better follow your steps?
