I am trying to use a system drive to store Refresh Images on.

I can share the drive & access it from the Desktop & Command Prompt but not the Elevated Command Prompt.

Just thought it would be easier than having a USB drive attached & hitting the battery.

Give us a screenshot of the drive in question and identify the target partition for storing the image.

What is the message you are trying to use in that elevated command prompt? I can't make any connection to the above.

Even the internal drive is drawing power. The advantage of a USB drive is that you can turn it off when not needed and it is also a better recovery resource because it is detached from the operating system. This makes it easier to implement recovery actions if your OS gets corrupted and/or the physical hard drive fails.

Hi, Thanks for offer. I have managed to do a refresh from a USB drive & the elevated commands are now available. Been away so have not been able to test fully yet a network drive. BTW I lost the Desktop Settings, Microsoft Autoroute, the Start Button and several other desktop programs in the Refresh.
