App to config Wireless Presenter?

Dear All,

I have a Wireless Presenter. It comes with a USB receiver and the presenter device. No driver software or any app provided. Simple plug-n-play and works fine on my PC.
I need an app to configure the device...a Software (which will work in Win-8 64 bit) that will allow me to customize the control keys of the Presenter. Meaning via that software I can configure the vol up control of the presenter to fast forward a movie playing on my PC. Any help in this regard pls?

Hello Troy,

That idea sounds interesting but I doubt you will find a software solution that will give you the ability to control the volume and fast-forward movies via your Presentation remote control. The roadblock, as I see it, would be the hardware itself. So, unless your hardware has those functional buttons, how would you ever get it to work?

it's not that my hardware (presenter device) is completely without any functional buttons..it has the pause/stop, play, vol up-down keys..i just want to remap the key functions to a different command set using the app...so is there any IR app that will help me achieve this?

So, who makes this Presenter? Does it have a make/model number? Do all the buttons work? Did the remote you are trying to use come as part of the Presenter package or are you trying to adapt a universal remote control to work withe the Presenter hardware?

all the buttons work
the remote (as you can see from the site link) is the wireless presenter...the USB receiver is connected to my PC

OK, there is something I am missing here. I quickly went thru the website and I sort of understand how it should work. I also see that it is not identified as being compatible with Windows 8 and there is supposed to be a KeySpan software CD that comes with the package. I have no idea where you are going with this so I'm going to yield to anyone else in this forum that can figure out this issue. Good luck.
