I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, so I apologize if I'm not. But I have a HUGE problem. I have a Gateway laptop that's only about 5 months old. It has Windows 8 on it, and when I started it up this morning, I saw the Gateway logo, and then I kept getting an error message that said 'windows boot manager, boot failed, press ok to continue', which I did, and then got an error message saying 'no bootable device found, press any key'. I pressed ok, and then it took me to the boot option menu, which only gave me one option that said 'windows boot manager
(wcd wd3200bpvt-22jj5t0). When I press this option, it takes me back to the same boot manager error message.
I've tried hitting F12, and it just gives me the boot option menu like I described above. I get nothing pressing F8. If I press F2, I get the InsydeH20 Setup Utility. Under the security tab, it will only allow me to select the 'set supervisor and HDD passwords(there's currently no passwords listed for these). Below it has the option to erase all secure boot setting, select an UEF1 file and restore secure boot to factory default, but it doesn't allow me to go down to any of these options.
I'll be honest and say that overall, I'm not a fan of Windows 8.. it's so different from all of the previous OS's, which I was fairly adept at navigating through in order to troubleshoot when I needed to.. but I am clueless as to what to do with this problem, and have spent hours googling possible solutions, but there's nothing I've found that specifically addresses this error message or how to fix it. I'm starting to panic because I do all of my work on my computer and need it up again asap! So if anyone can help me problem solve this, I would sincerely appreciate it.
