4th Gen i5 vs AMD Quad-Core A10-4600m

I need to buy a laptop for my daughter who is about to go to a nursing school.

She likes one HP laptop which comes in 2 flavors - 4th Gen i5 and AMD Quad-Core A10-4600m.

i5 has 8 gigs of RAM and AMD has 6 gigs of RAM, but for an average user it hardly matters.

Price aside which one would you recommend....?

if she games get the A10. beats the tar out of the other on things requiring heavy graphics processing.
if she does not, get the other one.
I have both an A8-4500m model [typing on it for this note in fact] and an A10-4600m model.
both great systems but I admit having a graphics/amd/ati bias
