I am trying to use the software with my 6950 v 11.8 to stretch the screen to the full size of the monitor but it gives me the error that there is nothing that the software can do. If so does that mean Win8 has a place to do it or am i just trying to do things a little to early in the development?

First you have to check the box Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 in Turn Windows features on and off and let it install.

Capture.PNGDownload 12-1 drivers for windows 7 and select save then go to downloads and right click the 12-1 drivers and select troubleshoot compatibility. Select troubleshoot program> check the box, The program worked in earlier versions> after clicking next, select run the program.

After the drivers install you should be able to open CCC and get to the scaling options.

I found with ATI Legacy CCC for X1540 that it installed ok, but didn't actually install the card driver, so I couldn't get a full resolution.

Worked after Desktop Control Panel->System->Device Manager->Sound Video & Game controllers, there may be a "generic graphics device" - go to Properties-> update driver -> and point the search at the directory where the CCC installed. This seemed to pick up and apply the correct driver. Just letting it do a search told me "the best driver is already installed".

Hope this helps!
