Printer support ed Epson stylus dx7400

Trying to find out before I start whether the printer above is supported in Win8/64 - All Epson says where there is no specific driver update, that it "might" be supported out of the box. It really would be more helpful if MS (or printer manufacturers) actually listed what printers/scanners are supported in WIn8/64. Anyone know if the DX7400 will work in win8/64?

Hi guys.

A friend of mine has bought new printer because his old Epson DX7400 was missing lines on the print so he gave me his old printer which comes with the insulation disc.

I haven't tried to install it yet but I've searched around for software, cartridges and if its compatible with Windows 8 64bit and its not.

The link shown s the same that I've found that says No Windows 8 driver available.

Which shows sweet FA.

I just clicked on the link Fireberd provided and I went right to the download for the Win 8 x64 driver. See here:

I clicked check for updates and it said its not compatible with my Windows 8 64bit. I installed the software from your link and then checked for updates worked.
