A slight off, if I may, what AMD X2 processor is that, don't know of any running at that low speed. Also need to know witch Radeon 3000 video card is and weather it is integrated or not. If integrated look for the chipset drivers for MB and it's exact manufacturers. If discreet video card series 3000 use this driver only as it is the only driver whitch will give you full use of CCC for it on win8 " amd_catalyst_12.6_legacy_win8". You can find it here
TopDownloads - - amd_catalyst_12.6_legacy_win8.exe
or Google it and find some other place. I had trouble with newer versions and this one works best.

CountMike: You keep telling folks to use the AMD Catalyst v25.6 legacy driver -- which is OK -- but they can also use the 13.1 legacy driver. I know because I have an HD 4290 and that driver works just fine.

The 13.1 legacy driver is available from the following link AMD Catalyst

That's the only one that worked for me, on 13.1 I do not have Gaming and Performance items on CCC. with one 3850 and one 4850 GPUs. Otherwise it works.

Maybe it's the mixture of 3850 and 4850, because I have the Gaming and Performance items on mine with the 4290.

But, when I first installed by letting the AMD installer do it, I did NOT. I had to remove the drivers and reinstall using the instructions in the UTube link -- which involved pasting the path of the INF folder from the expanded drivers folder into the MS driver update installer. When I did that, it DID add the full set of items to the CCC display.

So, unfortunately, HOW you install the drivers makes all the difference, when it fact, it shouldn't matter.

You'r right there, i guess, never tried installing those drivers that way. All I know is that drivers (12,6 W8 legacy) do just fine and for the new ones I couldn't find what difference do they make. Old HW, old drivers and it works just fine. Could you maybe post that link to YT ?
