For those that want to run desktop navigation programs, please checkout Centrafuse Localizer (Google search). It connects directly to the Broadcom GNSS chip (bypasses the location platform) and provides a virtual comport for your navigation app to connect to. Tested with Streets and Trips, CoPilot, PC Navigator and many more. 100% standard NMEA 0183 output.

I wrote specifically because I wanted to use Sygic on my Asus VivoTab and couldn't. I won't post a direct link (I run a forum too), but if it's something you need and are interested, please take he time to check it out.

I'm interested but like what I posted on the other thread you replied, how do you install it? I installed the two executed files and when I try to open it, it gives me error.

Here's the link to the latest version: http://repo.centrafuse.com/centrafuse/Localizer/Latest_Release/LocalizerSetup_Latest.exe
Here's the link for installation instructions: Localizer Installation - How To
The localizer support forum is here: Localizer Support

Thanks!

Are you Mark? I will be using street and trips 2013 also. My device is Dell Latitude 10

That's me!

Yeah, S&T is a problem. I need to go update the product details page to point that out :p There's a thread on the Localizer Support forum that goes into some detail on the problems with S&T when using Localizer. I've only tested it on a fairly low-powered Asus tablet, so your experience "MAY" be different.

I'd recommend downloading the latest version and taking as much time during the 30 day trial as you need. The trial is fully-functional, so if it works (or doesn't) nothing is going to change by adding the license.

Cheers!

Mark

VegasGuy,
I am trying to use the trial version on a Toshiba with Windows 8. I get "COM6 Ready" and "Broadcom GNSS Geolocation Sensor Ready". The time, lat, lon, and speed look correct and change; however, the alt, heading, HDOP, VDOP, and Fix Quality are not updating. Also, there is nothing in the satellite view. My application (Coastal Explored) sees COM6 but there does not appear to be any NEMA sentences. Where did I go wrong?
Thanks, Royce
