reallocated sector count warning

hi all sorry if this is the wrong place I have a reallocated sector count warning current 253 worst 252 threshold 63 data 7 status warning im not sure what it means to me so any help would be good please is the the computers way of telling me to replace the hard drive now thanks

How old is this harddisk and has it seen allot of use?

Do you hear clicking or chattering often?

Have you done many forced shutdowns or lost power recently? BSOD?

hi there I get solid crashes from time to time when installing things and copying the had drive runs at 100% and slows right up


im not sure how old the hard drive is I brought this pc second hand last year

Backup your data now on a different media, once done then scan the drive for errors with CHKDSK /F but first...

He either got a new HDD or fixed it as it was almost a year ago. If you have similar problem, start a new thread, you'll get help much faster.
