Hello Ron,

The Touch Keyboard is mostly just a real basic keyboard for tablets.

If you like, you could use the On-Screen Keyboard instead that has all keys included in it.

Hope this helps, :)

Yeah, I was afraid of that. That keyboard is more difficult to use. Granted, it works but it's a bit crowded. Gives me more type-Os

you don't need a windows key with a touchscreen. you swipe from the right edge to bring up the charms bar which has the start button. also, if this is a tablet/notebook, usually there's a physical windows key on the bezel.

There seems to be no windows key in the touch screen keyboard.
You get with the layout switch (bottom right corner on touch keyboard) four different layouts - but no one has the missing key:

But you can add a fifth keyboard layout:

Windows key + C -> Settings -> Change PC settings -> General -> Touch Keyboard -> Make the standard keyboard layout available

The new, fifth keyboard layout has these additional keys available:
  • Windows key
  • Alt key
  • Esc key
  • With Fn key: All F-keys (F1 - F12)

they should already make that part of the easy-to-access options. not hidden away in a settings.

cool tip!

You can hit the Windows logo on the front of the Surface Pro to bring up the start screen. it IS a button.
