Help! I had started to follow Kari's excellent instructions on moving user accounts from a small SSD to a data drive, and got bogged down when I couldn't see the DVD drive in audit mode. At this point I had made no changes to the registry.
I exited audit mode, went back to standard mode - and couldn't see the drive. Device manager says there is a problem with the registry.
This is my grandson's computer, and I had forgotten to set a restore point before I started - and discovered he never set one either.
It has an AMD 64 bit processor on an ASUS Sabretooth 990FX R2 MB, a 120 GB SSD and a 1T SATA drive.
Is there anything I can do besides refreshing it - thus removing all his programs installed from disk and downloads?
Regards,
Mary
