The driver for my HP 6122 Deskjet is not available for Windows 8. Does anyone know a work around.

Apparently some people have had luck using the alternate Windows 8 driver for HP 990C

Deskjet 6122 Driver
I have not been able to get past the HP Install Wizard for Windows when I try to download the 990 driver . I have my HP 6122 aet as a network printer, but if I try to install as a network connection printer, it does not find a device. If I use the USB port it finds the HP 6122 and gives me the message that the printer is not currently supported. How do I get the driver downloaded and the 6122 printer connected to the 990 driver?
