Bluetooth dongle

Please advise me what to look in a dongle to get the right/best one for my laptop.

HP ENVY dv7-7230us
W8 64bit
Quad-core AMD
6GB HDDR3 Memory
750 GB SATA Hard drive

Sorry folks, until just moments ago I never heard of Bluetooth dongle, didn't know Bluetooth can be external device. Nice to know they are so cheap on eBay.

BTW...is that all I need to make this bluetoothless notebook Bluetooth capable ? .

Mainly, be sure it will work with Win8. Here is one. Google on "windows 8 bluetooth dongle."

Aaah...so its OS specific. Thanks for the heads-up. Any number or specifics to look for that equate with better performance?

You are very welcome. It is likely that some not claiming to be consistent with Win8 would work for you. On the other hand, I have heard of some of these not working with Win8. So, yes, I would be happy to see at least the claim of working with Win8.

I really have no idea about which dongle claiming to be consistent with Win8 might be best. In general, I feel good about brands I know--like ASUS, D-Link, Linksys (at least used to be Linksys), etc. But, honestly, I don't know if a brand I know would be better than one I don't know (don't even use a dongle). Maybe others will chime in with what is working for them. Generally speaking, given a reputable vendor, you should have no problem returning something that doesn't work for you. Might be easier/better to just buy from brick and mortar like Frys and Best Buy.

It's possible W8 is a difficult fussy OS with compatibility stuffs. By chance, do you happen to know if OS compatibility is the same with USB TV tuners? And do you know exactly what they do? Do they enable watching live TV shows?
