So I am unsure if this is a windows 8 issue or an XP issue lol. But im going to explain it as well as I can. I Have recently just set me up a "file-server" that is running just regular XP Pro (service pack 2) and I have set up drives as network drives. Now that I have them all mapped on windows 8 I can open them and view all the files but when I try to open a file within that drive Ill get them message, Windows cannot access, .. ect. then goes on to say I do not have permission to access the file. although I did notice that I can access some folders just not certain ones.. I have messed around with the permissions but I cant seem to get it to work.. any help?
