Hello all,
I just did a clean install of Win 8 Pro x64 and I was surprised to find that the installation had defaulted to running with (or using) only 1 of my 2 logical CPU cores. The fix was to use msconfig to activate the 2nd core as shown in the image below:
Processors - Limit Number Used by Windows 7 - Windows 7 Support Forums
After the above, Win 8 started to use both logical processors as shown below:
