I have a netbook and a desktop. When Windows 8 comes out, if I install it on my desktop, would I have to get a different monitor to use the touch screen or will it work with any of the newer monitors?

If you want touchscreen capability, you will need a touchscreen. But I am sure Win8 will also work with the traditional gear.

Thanks for your feedback. When MS releases Windows 8, I'll probably buy a new lap top and get one that has the touch screen capability.

You can still use mouse as in Windows7, don't think MS will require touchscreen as that would alienate a lot of users that don't have the monitor.

I wouldn't like a touchscreen on a desktop, laptop maybe-not so much, tablet of coarse.

Yep. Windows 8 will can be installed on a PC without touchscreen and touchscreen is a wrapper as you can see in the video. (6:12)

What a babbler. I wish they would use professionals for the demos and not some half-wit.

Some are saying you will be able to switch back and forth.

Time will tell.
