associating scanner with email program

Can anyone tell me how to associate my scanner with my emailo program so that I can send attachments?

Depending on what you are scanning you will normally scan & save it to the appropriate file format first, either using the scanner softaware, graphics program, Acrobat etc. and then attach that file to your message.
