Hi,
I got a new HP Envy m6-1140sg and couldn't enable Turbo Boost Tec. in the BIOS settings(could not find it).
I downloaded that Intel Monitoring software and it kept saying i didnt enable turbo boost. Then I downloaded some drivers on this site : Treiber & Software zum Herunterladen HP ENVY m6-1140sg Notebook PC | HP®-Support. I downloaded BIOS Drivers. I accidentely changed the Settings of the Monitoring software to small and i couldnt see anything. I tried to reinstall it so it would be normal
but then it said that i dont have any processor with turbo boost. I got Intel Core i5 3rd Gen. . And i installed pidenu32.msi to recognize my Processor. And it said i have intel hd graphics 4000? I 100% got amd radeon hd 7670m.

How can I enable Turbo Boost?

Why do you need turbo-boost if processor doesn't have it.

The big question is: What core i5 do you have more precisely?

There are a bunch of i5 and the fact that you don't have turbo-boost at all is possible.

    That's basically it.
OP says he has a 3rd gen i5. All i5 3rd gen have turbo boost.

He has this laptop, so it's an i5-3210M:

kevini15, from what I've read, turbo boost should be on by default and it is configured in the BIOS. Are you sure you've scoured the BIOS thoroughly to find the setting?

the biggest problem is that intel says i dont have an processor which is compatible with that monitoring software.
The first time i installed it everything went fine except that it kept saying i dont have turbo boost enabled

You indicated you upgraded drivers, etc. I assume these were all done from software downloaded form HPs support site?
What monitoring software are you referring to?

If you have all HP stuff upgraded, HP should be able to help you if you think something's wrong.

See the processor diagnostic tool:
Processors — What is the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool?

It should tell you what features your processor has.

Don't forget to get the x64 version if you run 64bit Windows.
