I bought the Logitech T650 Touchpad a few weeks ago, but then suddenly got very busy at work and didn't have time to follow up. I just hooked up the touchpad this morning, and all I can say is WOW! It is on par with the Apple track pad for the Mac. I am NOT an Apple fan by any stretch. But I do say their track pad is superb.

For those who say Windows 8 doesn't play well on a desktop, the T650 could change your mind. It is a true touch device. Digitizer pens on tablets are NOT true touch as they operate in mouse mode. But the T650 works as a true touch device wo/ requiring a touch screen. I also have the Microsoft Touch Mouse, which has recently added a host of new Windows 8 gestures. The T650 has a far better touch experience than the Microsoft Touch Mouse.

I highly recommend the T650 for those who want a true touch experience on a classic desktop machine...

Agreed. I have been using the T-650 and found it to function well. It has about a three day learning period but then it's usage is very natural.

can you explain to me the usage of the logitech device? after you do a gesture, say, to bring up the charms bar, do you have to mouse the cursor over to pick a charm?

same thing with the metro task bar, once you open it do you have to mouse the cursor over to pick which app you want?

Yes to both of your questions. After you move the curser to the charm or app then tap the touchpad with one finger and your selection will open.

Take some time and read over the SoftPoint Settings to master it's use.

yeah, that's what I was figuring. I was hoping there was a way to make a choice without having to mouse over. it's the reason why I like the touchscreen the best.

I just bought one, I have a older 24 inch Acer T24 touch screen and it didnt really recognise gestures on Win 8 but since i loaded the Track pad software is seems to a helped the touch screen driver as a bonus.
I love the trackpad, though its gonna take a little time to get used to.
