Ive installed the rest of the drivers provided by manufacturer except the SATA RAID/AHCI ones. The Intel Rapid Storage Technology gave me an error that I dont meet the system requirements so I no longer insisted with the others. Hmmm, why are these listed for my motherboard then? or what exactly are they?
I was thinking I need to instal first the "Intel SATA Preinstall driver(For AHCI / RAID Mode) Note: Press F6 during Windows setup to read from floppy" -the last item on the list -but dont know how , there are just some "sytem files, security catalog, setup information". You can fast download and checked them.
I would download the floppy version and then extract them to somewhere. Then open up device manager, right click a d update storage controller by pointing to the files where you extracted the drivers to.
so you dont agree with the above theog?
at my manufacturer page I have 3 items to download? which exaclty is this from intel
and what download do I need from Intel
iata_enu.exe: provides English-only files if you have an English version of the operating system. iata_cd.exe: provides multiple language files if you have an operating system other than English.
Optional: one of the following F6 Driver Diskettes (depending on your operating system):
f6flpy-x86.zip - for 32-bit versions of the operating system f6flpy-x64.zip - for 64-bit versions of the operating system
in my device manager at storage controllers I have 2 items: Microsoft storage spaces controller and Microsoft VHD Loopback Controller
Hmmm but I dont know if they were installed within windows 8 or after I ve instaled the chipsets from Manufacturer page.
To be honest do I realy need to install all these drivers from motherboard page or from intel or Windows installation do the job?
the only change Ive spoted after installing the chipsets is that a new item was lised at my program and features : Intel management engine components probablly after installing the Intel management engine interface ( Im not sure if this was really necesary and ifI should install only the much smaller Intel INF installation- see them at manufacturer page )
