Mouse problem

I use the Microsoft mouse wireless. Everytime I boot the machine (win 8 prof) the left key is the click key. I am left handed and am used to having the right key as the click key.
I set it that way but when I reboot I have set it again. Is there a way to save the setup so it remains the way I set it?

The problem seems to be solved. Instead of an apply button the mouse and keyboard center asks you to write a macro which seems to work on boot up.

So the problem is relatively simple except that getting to the center on my machine is slow even theough I have a fast CPU.. Win 8 prof has a lot of junk running in the background which can be seen in taskmaster. It also leaves a lot to be desired when closing the machine down. It's easier to shut down than to run restart. There are still some things Windows needs to correct over time to make it more effective.
