Hi - newbie question here. I've looked over the Internet for a solution, but although I go into Disk Management and right-click my Seaport external hard drive, the only options I get are "New Simple Volume," "Properties," and "Help." I'd like to assign a letter to it but I don't know how. Can you help? Thanks in advance!

If those are your only options then something has happened to your drive and the partition has been wiped. Your only option is to create a new volume and start again. I would then run HD Tune and check to see if the drive is failing

So, you don't see the drive at all in Computer, right?

I can see the drive in Disk Management but it doesn't show up under the standard "My Computer" screen. Weird thing is, it works for my Mac (it's where I store my iTunes library), and I can see and access all my files there. I just don't know why it doesn't work for my PC.

@kaboom123:

How is the drive formatted? I'd get your things backed up elsewhere if not already done--just in case. And, check this program that might be pertinent to you out: Mediafour--MacDrive--a very good program.
