Solved Phone driver not working

I tried to plug in my G2x into my laptop that has Win8.
Usually what happens on my PC with Win7 is that it opens Windows explorer so I can open up files on my phone.
The laptop isn't doing that. When I first plugged in my phone to the PC it installed a program to install the proper driver for the phone.

However the laptop isn't doing the same. I tried downloading the program to install the drivers from LG's website, but i keep getting an error. I presume it has something with this pretentious little OS Win8 isn't compatible or something?

IS there anywhere i can get the right drivers from for Win8 or fix the error?

Most drivers that work on 7 will work in 8. Remember I said "most".

Option 1: Download the driver from LG and use compatibility mode.

Option 2: Find out which drivers are working in your PC and install those. Use compatibility mode if necessary.
