I have the subject wireless LAN USB adapter. Since upgrading to Win8 it has stopped working. I have taken several steps to revive it but it fails each time.
1. I connected to net through my mobiles USB tethering and tried to search automatically to no avail.
2. I then downloaded the Win7 drivers from various sources and tried manual install by asking windows to search in those particular folders. It gives and error stating Windows found your driver but could not install and then says the location of driver couldnt be determined.
3. I did the above several times. Then tried to restore to an early instance and retry but no affect.
4. I have read on other sites and forums that most have been able to get it up and running but then why cant I manage to.
5. In windows update there is an update for that hardware but it doesnt install successfully.
6. Is there a way to reinstall windows 8 and try or you have some other solution where I can clean up all the mess I might have made with above steps and try again.
