I have a very old laptop we are running W8RP on (Dell Inspiron 1520).. I updated the synaptics driver, and now I have multi-touch! Plus, now I can swipe in from left/right and we get last program/charms.. I'm still trying to figure out pinch-to-zoom, but this is great.. It's not a touchscreen, but certainly breathes new life into it..

Yes, enjoy the Scrybe which is a nice addition, you can go in to it's properties and customize for your needs, I prefer an older driver for my Acer laptop :D

The Synaptics driver from Synaptics breaks the custom touch media keys on my Acer Aspire 5920. The only way they will work is with the Acer supplied drivers. :(

Yes, this is a welcome addition to my laptop as well! I had to disable the lenovo driver auto-update, as it kept reinstalling itself. But now it seems to be going smooth!

I have an inspiron 1546 and the synaptics driver did not work. There were no multi touch options. I ended up installing Alps drivers and now I can use some basic touch features(EdgeAction).
