Touchpad Assistance

Hello,
I recently got an Acer Aspire as my first laptop. I was playing around with it when i found that you can just tap the touchpad to click a link as well as click the touchpad. I find this tap thing annoying and want to know how to disable it.
Any help is greatly appreciated

You should be able to open the Synaptics control panel from the Notification tray (lower left part of the Taskbar on the Desktop) and you should be able to find and disable that option.
