Can't see my second hard drive on Win8

I installed Windows 8 Pro on my computer. I have a second hard drive that I keep all my files.

When I was using Win7 and Win Xp, I had no issues but now the hard drive does not show up on my computer.

Is there any reason why this is happening?

your D: drive is RAW, so it's not format and everything on it is lost. ( unless you can retrieve stuff with a data recovery software)

For use again your HD have to create a NTFS partition and format it. But if you plan to recover the info do it before

Download the Paragon free try Rescue kit:
Rescue Kit Free Edition | PARAGON Software Group - free partition software, hard disk partitioning
Try the undelete partition option.

I had no problem when I installed RP on my desktop. I had 3 physical drives and partitioned the main drive and I could see and access all drives. From what I see from your screen shots, it's showing both drives. My guess would be something went wrong during the installation.

If you click on the computer tab in screen shot 2 and select the drive you wont you should be able to access it. It looks like your just accessing the current default drive from what I see.
