Touch Gestures on Laptop

Sup guys, just wanted to know that can you guys use your mouse touch pad in your laptop to perform touch gestures?

Cause i can't seem to use it, even if i use synaptic driver. Is there any fix for it?

It'll depend on the touchpad itself. The general guideline is that if it's a pretty decent sized touchpad, gestures should work with an updated driver. For the size, it should be about the size of a smartphone's screen (4ish inches) to have gesturing capabilities usually. If it is a large touchpad and Synaptics made it, it should work.

If you want the Windows 8 gestures on a touchpad, you have to have a newer touchpad that can recognize multiple fingers (like the HP ones that I played with where you can do pinch to zoom). Most old laptops have the old style touchpads.
