Synaptics Gestures

Alright... so after being forced off the Consumer Preview about a week after installing it, I have made the lead to Windows 8 on my ASUS U36SD. So far, almost everything is perfect. There is just one thing I cannot figure out...

I cannot get the Windows 8 touchpad gestures to work - you know, swiping from the sides to bring up the charms menu etc. Now, I am fairly certain my touchpad should support the gestures - i mean, it supports 3 finger multi-touch (two finger scrolling, pinch to zoom, 3 finger hold to launch an application, etc all work). I am running driver version 15.3.17.0 from Synaptics and it is Synaptics Touchpad V7.4.

Am i missing something or is my touchpad just not compatible, even though it supports multitouch?

edit: updated to a newer version of the driver i found online (was not on synaptics website, but just floating around: v16.2.10.20)... now the gestures work on and off, but lost 95% of all multi-touch (as in only pinch to zoom works), and the mouse is laggy. which means bad driver. hmm...

had a lot of trouble fighting with synaptics and getting the driver and software uninstalled and reinstalled and everything... still only getting gestures with that bad driver v16.x. currently using the ones you linked me, and all is fine except the lack of gestures. def not a make it or break it moment, but kinda disappointing. synaptics needs to get working and release full win8 drivers.

Synaptics drivers used to be very stable until they introduced Scrybe, you could disable Scrybe and try the new drivers from Synaptics.
EDIT: Have you tried this site? NM, useless info there.
